Work has started at 845 W. Madison Ave. ahead of the official groundbreaking on Dec. 13 for one of the most dense developments in the West Loop.

Lendlease, The John Buck Company and Intercontinental Real Estate Corp. are working on the two tower mixed-use development, which will have 586 apartments and 10,000 sq. ft. of retail space.

GREC Architects designed the buildings, which are expected to be completed by 2020.
