The City of Chicago has reported issuing a $150 million building permit on March 23 for a “full building review for proposed event center at McCormick Place as per plans.”
The project, related to the major Marriott Marquis convention hotel for the area, is being constructed by Clark Construction Group. Gurtz Electric Company is the electrical contractor. Masonry contractors listed on the permit documentation are All Masonry Construction Co. Ltd. of Niles and Concrete Structures of the Midwest from Glen Ellyn.
The plumbing contractor is Mechanical, Inc., of Fox Lake, while refrigeration and ventilation are the responsibility of F.E. Moran Inc. of Northbrook.
