Safeguard Self Storage recently acquired a land parcel on North Clybourn Avenue in Chicago.
The property will house a 68,000-sq. ft. facility offering 880 storage units. The site will include climate control, a drive-up loading area, computerized gate access and video cameras.
The facade will be designed to blend into the surrounding neighborhood.
The site is expected to open in 2015, according to Jim Goonan, senior vice-president of development.
