PREMIER Design + Build, LLC has completed the first phase of an interior build-out at the 1701 Nicholas Blvd. industrial facility in Elk Grove Village, IL.
NNR Global Logistics, the sole tenant, will immediately benefit from general building modifications, office areas and a High Hazard (H-3) room.
Tailoring the space for NNR included adapting exterior doors and the construction of an 18’ Redi-Ramp cargo door for easier loading and unloading. Material containment curbs were added along with a back-up generator and a dedicated exhaust system in the H-3 room.
New office space was also added to the facility. NNR Global Logistics will benefit from a newly designed customer service center, areas for both the accounting and logistics departments and a new lobby.
Storage and IT closets were built along with one large conference room and two smaller meeting rooms. A break room was constructed in addition to nine private offices. An open floor plan/cubical area was constructed to accommodate both import and export departments, and two sets of restrooms were added.
In addition to the general building changes and office build-out, PREMIER built a 12,000 sq. ft. H-3 room for material storage, which required modifications to the existing ESFR fire protection sprinkler system to include the injection of AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) to extinguish difficult fires of flammable liquids, greases, gases and similar materials.
“The new build-out at 1701 Nicholas Blvd. has set the standard for facilities with class A amenities in the Midwest,” said PREMIER Design + Build executive vice-president Brian Paul. “This is one of several PREMIER build-outs in the area that will exceed tenant expectations.”
PREMIER will soon be launching Phase II of the build-out at 1701 Nicholas Blvd.. This will provide more interior customized space for NNR Global within this 150,520 sq. ft. speculative warehouse.
