The developers of Eveq, a boutique condominium community of 32 residences in Chicago’s West Loop, say the building will break ground in March.

The five-story community is being built on land owned by the Chicago Pipefitters Local Union 597, which has owned the property at 14 N. Bishop St. – adjacent to its hall – since 1986. Delivery is expected in third-quarter 2020.

“The developers recognized the potential of this site and decided it was time to move forward with a quality, union-built development that will bring much-needed for-sale housing to this corner of the West Loop, Cyndy Salgado, executive vice-president of development sales for @properties, said in a statement. “Given the anticipated demand for these homes, which benefit from their proximity to leading employers like Google and McDonald’s, construction is scheduled to begin almost immediately, allowing buyers to move in much faster than is typical for new construction.”

The structure has been designed by Sullivan Goulette & Wilson Architects (SGW), with interiors by Michelle Vance Design.

The condos located on floors two through five, with a total of eight units per floor. The first level will include deeded garage parking, as well as nearly 5,700 sq. ft. of retail space.
