Developers propose 202-unit apartment building in South Loop

A development group is planning to build a 202-unit apartment building in the Chicago South Loop.

Developers want to tear down the parking garage at 600 S. Clark St. and build a 24-story apartment building, Chicago Business reported.

The group doesn’t need a zoning change to build at 600 S. Clark, the newspaper reported, citing an email by Michael Moceri. But they could face pushback from some neighbors worried about losing parking in the area; their current plans call for 58 parking spots in the structure.
