How can you detect and deter construction fraud?

This is the topic of an Oct. 12 workshop by the Construction Owners Association of America Illinois chapter (COAA-IL) scheduled for Oct. 12.

“The workshop will discuss the most prevalent types of fraud within the construction industry as well as common perpetrators of the fraud, and ways to detect and deter construction fraud,” the COAA-IL announcement says.

Panelists will include Dayna L. Anderson and Kimberly R. Reome of the Kenrich Group LLC and Chris McClure of the Illinois Department of Transportation. (There will be other speakers to be announced later.)

The event starts at 3:00 p.m. at Three First National Plaza, K&L Gates Conference Center, 70 West Madison St. 33rd Floor.

Registration fees depend on whether you are an owner or associate or a member or non-member, but the early bird registration deadline is Sept. 27 (the day of this posting).

You can register online through the COAA website, or complete this form and return it to the COAA-IL.
