Chicago has issued a $50 million building permit for renovations and upgrades to O’Hare Airport’s fuel tank farm and for renovations for the airport’s existing truck maintenance facility.
According to the permit issued on Aug. 11, most of the cost is for the fuel tank farm upgrades (including civil and stormwater), valued at $49 million. The remaining $1 million is for the truck maintenance facility “including upgrades to mechanical, electrical and plumbing.”
The project’s general and plumbing contractor is Meccon Industries, Inc. Hartmann Electric Company is co-ordinating the electrical work.
