Chicago issues $39 million permit for 10-story Lincoln Park co-living project

Chicago has issued a $39 million building permit for a 10-story co-living residential building in Lincoln Park.

The project at 853 W. Blackhawk St. will have 126 parking spaces and Power Construction is the general contractor.

Urbanize Chicago reported earlier that the 10-story co-living project will be operated by New York-based Common.

“Dubbed Common Lincoln Park, the 117-foot-tall project will offer one to four private bedrooms per apartment. With a total of 126 units, each unit will be furnished and include a communal kitchen and living area, as well as in-unit laundry. The majority of the bedrooms will have en-suite baths,” the website reported.

Key subtrades included: Electric – Shamrock Electric Co., Inc.; plumber/plumbing – Norman Mechanical and refrigeration and ventilation – Premier Mechanical Inc.
