Chicago contractor Frank H. (Bud) Paschen has died at age 80.

Paschen founded Chicago Building Constructors in 1975, a business which grew and evolved to become F.H. Paschen/S.N. Nielson today.

The company currently employs more than 200 with operations in Illinois, Florida, Louisiana, Washington D.C., Georgia and Ohio.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports the Paschen family traces a long history in construction. His own company’s projects have included Midway Airport, the Deep Tunnel, courtroom improvements at the Dirksen federal building, several CTA projects, and the 2012 Wacker Dr. reconstruction.

Visitation will take place from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 20) at Morizzo Funeral Home, 2550 W. Hassell Rd. in Hoffman Estates, before a noon funeral service Dec. 21 at Life Changers International Church, 2500 Beverly Road, also in Hoffman Estates.
