$11 million renovation starts at George Leland Elementary School

Chicago has issued an $11 million building permit for upgrades and improvements at George Leland Elementary School in the Austin neighbourhood.

The project at 512 S. Lavergne Ave. includes a roof replacement, mechanical upgrades including a new chiller, unit ventilator replacements, lighting replacement, plumbing supply line replacements and architectural work related to the renovation scope, the building permit issued on July 6 says.

The General contractor is Accel Construction Services. Key subtrades include: Electrical – Horizon Contractors, Inc.; masonry – Rasco Mason Contractors, Inc.; plumber/plumbing – Chicago Area Plumbing Inc.; and ventilation – Qu-Bar, Inc.
