BIM chicago workshop

The Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA) has scheduled a workshop in enabling Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies on Oct. 22.

“In this workshop, leaders at VIATechnik will explore topics such as how BIM affects your business and what owners and general contractors expect from their team,” the HACIA Chicago announcement said. “Attendees will leave with a greater understanding of what BIM workflows and processes can work for them, and how to implement them.”

HACIA Chicago says McGraw Hill’s Smart Market Report, “The Business Value of BIM”, suggests that BIM usage is expected to increase 50 per cent over the next two years. And that already, over 60 per cent of commercial projects utilize some level of BIM. It is clear that as architects, engineers, and contractors, in order to stay competitive we need to embrace the value that BIM has to offer.”

The program runs from 4 to 6  p.m. at 650 W. Lake St., Suite 415.

To register, RSVP with name, contact and company to NCintron@haciaworks.org.
