Bulley & Andrews, LLC is co-ordinating a $7,596,453 renovation to the Gwen Hotel at 521 N. Rush St.

The building permit describes the work as “interior renovations to 311 existing guest rooms on the 5th thru 17th floors of an existing hotel as per plans.”  This indicates an investment of about $24,425 per room.

The hotel had formerly been the Conrad, part of the Hilton chain. A new Conrad has opened elsewhere. Gwen is a luxury brand of the competing Starwood organization.

Subcontractors include: Electrical, Proarc Electric; and plumbing, AMS Mechanical Systems, Inc.
