COAA Illinois Fall Conference: Panel discussions — municipalities and automation

The Construction Owners Association of America  (COAA) Illinois Chapter’s 2016 Fall Conference will feature two panel discussions. The first panel will address the advancements of municipalities as owners and how municipalities are helping other owners, titled “The Impact of Municipal Improvement in Public and Private Projects.” The second panel will cover the use of drones and automation in construction today, titled “Drones and Automation in Construction: Current Conditions and Near Future Opportunities.”

The event will be held at the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center, which won the Chicago Building Congress / COAA Illinois 2016 Owners Choice Award. Representatives of the City of Chicago and the construction team will be present for the Municipality Panel.

COAA Illinois is the local of chapter of the Construction Owners Association of America (COAA). COAA is a national organization of public and private owners who manage facilities development and capital improvement projects. COAA supports Owner’s success in the design and construction of buildings and facilities process through education, information exchange, and collaboration to facilitate continuous improvement and evolution of the industry.

The event is from 3 to 7 p.m. at  1240 S. Damen Ave. Registration fees range from $40 to $160 depending on whether you are a COAA member or not, your status as an owner or associate, and whether you register by the early-bird deadline Sept. 2.
