The idea to develop a 35-story luxury condominium tower at 9 West Walton St. has gone from rumor to building permits in just five months, chicagoarchitecture.org reports.

Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture (HPA) designed the building for developer James Letchinger, who plans to live in the building, which will reach slightly more than 400 feet in the air on the Gold Coast.

A listing for #2900, 9 West Walton, has a $12.5 million price tag.
